Blogtober Day 2 – Queen of Hearts Coloured Raine Palette – Review and Swatches!

Day 2 of Blogtober is upon us and today’s post is a mini review of the Coloured Raine -Queen of Hearts Palette with swatches – obviously…

I’ll start this post by admiring the outer packaging of the palette as it just looks sooo superior and high end.

I feel as though it has an Egyption style vibe, and the colours inside match up to that, reminding me of a dessert sands/sunset scene. LUSH.

This palette is perfect for the transition from Summer into Autumn, as it doesn’t leave behind all the colours we’ve loved over summer – it ties them together with gorgeous burnt oranges and purples ready for the colder season . the colder the bolder!

I haven’t got round to creating any looks with this – but trust me I will be posting some at some point!

Swatches will have to do for now – but who doesn’t love a good swatch?!

I personally prefer matte shades on my eyes, however in this palette I am thrown by how AMAZING the shimmers are – something you would only be able to achieve by packing on loose pigment before now.

I won’t lie, the matte shades didn’t rub off as great and heavily pigmented as other shadows I’ve used before – unsure about how they are on the eyes as I am yet to play with this one more!

The pro’s and con’s are as follows:

  • Gorgeous and VERY aesthetically pleasing packaging – any blogger’s dream
  • Mixture of shimmer and matte
  • Heavily pigmented shimmers
  • Colours that compliment each other

  • More expensive price
  • Matte shades not so pigmented
  • No brush included

Have you got the Queen of Hearts palette? Let me know your thoughts!
