Blogtober Day 6 – Autumnal Makeup Series #3

A slightly different look is featured in today’s makeup series as I wanted to try and switch up my makeup routine instead of doing the same looks all the time!

The usual looks I usually go for, mainly for ease as I feel comfortable doing these with minimal stress, is a darker outer crease and corner, with a lighter or even shimmer shade in the middle.

With so many different variations out there on how to make eyes look smokin’, I decided to go for a change.

To create this look, I’ve used the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette (obviously) and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette to mix in dark chocolate brown shades with autumnal oranges – because you just can’t get enough autumnal shades ahhhh ๐Ÿ˜

As you can see, I have flipped round my usual look and opted for a darker lid shade and lighter crease.

I started off by applying ‘New Wave’ from the Subculture palette on my crease and just above to ensure this was still noticed after applying the darker shadow. I then simply brushed on the shade ‘Truffled’ from the Semi Sweet palette onto the lid. To make this more bold I added the shade ‘Fudge’ from Subculture to the lid on top of this.

I would have enjoyed this look a lot more if I added a winged liner, just to make the boldness of this look really stand out – however my black liner has run out and at the time I had not gotten round to buying myself a new one ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

This was such a quick and easy look – the first time I’d tried a more dark and bold look for during the day but I looooved doing it.

This would be perfect for a night out by shading under the bottom lash line with dark shadow, adding a winged liner and some lashes to make the glam look more extra.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this look! If you have any looks with these palettes I’d love to check them out!
