Blogtober Day’s 14 & 15 – Weekend make-up inspiration

I was so disappointed that I didn’t manage to get posts up this weekend, but life just got in the way.

I’ve decided not to let myself down and work super hard to get a weekend glam makeup look up to compensate for the weekend I missed out on!

This look is super christmassy and great for the upcoming party season.

I’ve used the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette and loose glitter pigment from NYX to create a more night time look.

To start with, I added the shade bestie to the crease for a base, and went straight in with the gold glitter. This is such a simple look to do as there is no point going intricate with shadows when applying such an intense glitter pigment.

To make the pigment stick on the eye and to make it stand out more I use the Too Faced Glitter Glue which is essentially an eyeshadow primer with a more sticky texture.

After applying the loose glitter pigment, I shaded in the outer corners with a dark brown shadow to accompany the look and create more depth.

This is the first time I have used an NYX glitter pigment and was sceptical about the quality as it was cheaper than most pigments on the market. The pigment was very long lasting and didn’t begin to deteriorate from the eye however there was a lot of fallout when applying.

I would recommend doing this before applying foundation so the excess glitter can easily be removed.

This look could also be made much more glam by adding a black winged liner for a sophisticated and neater touch.

I’m so obsessed with glitter lately and this golden colour can be used with pretty much any colour shadows.

Hope you have enjoyed!
