My Christmas Make up!

Heeeey!

I hope everyone reading this has had a magical and sparkly Christmas full of good company, alll the snacks and most of all, happiness!

I’ve decided to do a quick post of my Christmas make up with a little tutorial incase you want to re-create this festive look, which would also be perfect for New Years Eveeeee… The festivities are not quite over just yet!

The products I used are:

I have just been loving anything gold and shiny this Christmas. Colours with warm tones rather than the cooler shimmers.

I was so lucky to be gifted some amazing highlighters and eye makeup from Secret Santa presents this year, including the Barry M Liquid Chrome drops, Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl and an amazing Zoeva graphic eyes pencil.

Christmas Day makeup was definitely one of those occasions where you want to use alllll your new makeup at once without looking like a drag queen!

I didn’t take many pictures on Christmas morning, so I re-created this look and took some pictures for this post!

I applied my foundation, concealer, contour and powder as normal as I use these products every day. I then did the usual with my ABH dip-brow pomade (which I literally swear by and could not recommend enough to anyone ahhhh ๐Ÿ˜).

The fun begins after the boring part, where alll the glitter and anything gold came out to play.

As I got a new Zoeva eye pencil which I have been dying for, for ages now, I was desperate to use it, along with both new highlighters (because you can never have enough highlighter).

I applied the shade ‘Brownie Points’ out of my Holy Grail palette into the crease of my eye and blended out so the line wasn’t too harsh. I left the lid for allll the shinyness.

I created a gold base on my lid with the Zoeva Graphic Eyes pencil in the shade ‘After the Disco’ which is literally INSANE. So so pigmented and smooth to apply. I also swept a line of this under my lower lashes for an extra bit of subtle sparkle and shine

To be extra Christmas, it would be rude not to apply some form of gold glitter. I used NYX gold glitter pigment on my lid which is super sparkly and festive.

Now for the highlighter… Barry M Liquid Chrome drops are absolutely amazing to apply on the brow bone for an extra sculpt and pop for the brows. I applied this with a small brush using a tinieee tinyyy amount and blended out along the brow bone. I then used Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl in ‘Gilded Honey’ to highlight my cheekbone, nose and cupids bow. I just love this as it adds sparkle along with golden shimmer for the perfect pop.

I will be doing separate reviews on some of these products so I won’t go into too much detail on this post!

Another thing I have been loving, and just couldn’t resist, is lip glosss! I tend to use a simple, subtle pink shade and then apply Loreal Xtreme Resist gloss over the top for a glossy and shiny finish.

To finish the look, I added a sweep of black liner on my lower waterline and applied some lashes! I’m new to the fake lash scene as I have struggled for a while to find some lashes which complement my eyes instead of making them look overcrowded – I have small eyes so this is a tricky task! I picked up some Ardelle Wispies from Superdrug after they were recommended by a friend and they are absolutely LUSH. I’ve always struggled to apply lashes and usually have to trim them down and re-apply glue 4 times before they look semi decent, but the glue that comes with these must be some kind of miracle in a bottle as they go on like a dream!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and it has been of some help in NYE makeup inspiration!
